The Kochi metro’s first phase was recently opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A government official claimed that the country is experiencing a “metro revolution” since the number of cities with transportation networks has increased from 5 in 2014 to 20 now.

The country’s metro network has increased from 248 kilometres in 2014 to 775 km and is currently on track to expand even further. It should be mentioned that the metro’s 1,000 km of development is now in progress.
