India will take over the G20 leadership in December and hold the summit of the heads of the twenty major economies in the world in New Delhi on September 9–10, 2023.
After Indonesia hosts the G20 leaders’ conference in November, India will assume the G20 chairmanship for a year. During the period of December 1, 2022, to November 30, 2023, the nation will be in the White House.

“The G20 Leaders’ Summit at the level of Heads of State [or] Government is scheduled to be held on 09 and 10 September 2023, in New Delhi,” the external affairs ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
Both the presidents of Russia and Ukraine have accepted invitations from Indonesia to attend the G20 Summit in Bali on November 15–16. Tensions with other member nations have already arisen as a result of Russia’s participation in preliminary discussions this year.

The troika will consist of India, Indonesia, and Brazil while it holds the presidency. The troika will now consist of three emerging economies and developing nations for the first time.
