The increases in technology and metal sectors on Monday helped Indian equity indices extend their winning streak to three straight sessions. Following a significant increase on Wall Street on Friday, the domestic indices kept moving upward while mirroring advances in Asian markets today.
As inflation worries were calmed by falling crude oil prices, market players kept their upbeat outlook. Today’s price of Brent crude was $113 a barrel.
The wide NSE Nifty increased 133 points or 0.85 percent to conclude at 15,832 today, while the 30-share BSE Sensex rose 433 points or 0.82 percent to close at 53,161.

As Nifty Midcap 100 increased 1% lower and small-cap moved 2.04% higher, mid- and small-cap shares ended on a solid note.
The National Stock Exchange’s 15 sector indicators, which were all positive at the end, were all 15. Nifty IT and Nifty Metal sub-indices outpaced the platform by increasing by as much as 2.05% and 1.52%, respectively.
ONGC was the highest Nifty gainer on a stock-by-stock basis, rising 3.31 percent to 141.90. Among the winners were Coal India, L&T, HCL Tech, and UPL.
2,387 shares on the BSE climbed and 1,045 fell, resulting in a positive total market breadth.
Asian Paints, Bharti Airtel, IndusInd Bank, L&T, HCL Tech, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Tata Steel, UltraTech Cement, SBI, ITC, and Sun Pharma were among the top gainers on the 30-share BSE index.
Shares of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), the largest domestic financial investor and insurer in the nation, up 0.45% to close at 664.65.
Reliance Industries, Titan, and Kotak Mahindra Bank, in contrast, all reported negative final results.
Following an agreement to acquire local grocery-delivery startup Blinkit for Rs. 4,447 crore ($567.94 million), food delivery company Zomato also experienced a decline of up to 6.40 percent, ending the day at Rs. 65.85.
