A notice has been issued to Maharashtra Government by by a bench of justices Vineet Saran and B.V. Nagarathna on an appeal filed by Poonam Pandey which challenged Bombay High Court order junking her anticipatory bail plea.
The Bombay High Court had last year declined to grant releif to Poonam. Punam then moved to the supreme court challenging the high court order. She has been made an accused in the FIR with the actor Sherlyn Chopra.
She has now been granted protection from arrest by the supreme court.
