In her honour, the UK went into a 10-day mourning period with the 11th day being her funeral.
Several dignitaries across the world, including India’s President Droupadi Murmu, reached the UK to attend her funeral.

London has made several arrangements to ensure a smooth and respectable funeral for their late Queen.
Preparations to cater to 2000 dignitaries have been made, who will attend the Queen’s last rites. Over 100 flights at London’s biggest airport, Heathrow Airport, have been cancelled to curb noise.
Dignitaries like the British Prime Minister, Liz Truss, the Queen’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were present.
As thousands of common citizens would want to bid their Queen a final goodbye, over 36 km of barricades have been installed and 125 movie theatres will be broadcasting the funeral.
6124 military personnel have been deployed for security which includes 175 personnel from Commonwealth Nations.
The Queen’s coffin was covered with the British Royal Flag and was accompanied by the Royal Orb, Saber and the Crown.
The state began at 3:30 pm IST and lasted an hour since.
In accordance with King Charles III’s wishes, the Queen’s son and successor, the public mourning period will continue across the country for a week after the Queen’s funeral.
