From Salman Khan to Sanjay Dutt, times when Bollywood celebrities were imprisoned

Being a star in India has both advantages and disadvantages. Bollywood celebs have at times been arrested for breaking the law. Take a look at some celebrities who were arrested.

Salman Khan

During the filming of his movie Hum Saath Saath Hain in 1998, Salman was sentenced to 5 years in prison. He spent 18 days in Jail from 1998 to 2007 in connection with the blackbuck killing case. In 2002, he was likewise sentenced to 2 years in prison in connection with a hit-and-run case.

Sanjay Dutt

Sanjay was found guilty in 1993 and sentenced to six years in prison; however, the Supreme Court reduced his sentence to 5 years in 2013. Because of his good behaviour, the actor was released 6 months early in February 2016.

Rhea Chakraborty

Rhea Chakraborty, the actress and rumoured girlfriend of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, was arrested on September 8, 2020, by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for allegedly procuring drugs. She had been imprisoned for about a month before being released on bail by the Bombay High Court on October 7.

Shiney Ahuja

A special fast-track court sentenced actor Shiney Ahuja to 7 years in prison for raping his domestic help. Following the 2009 sentence, the actor was granted bail by the Bombay High Court in 2011.

John Abraham

John is well-known for his passion for motorcycles, but many people are unaware that he was imprisoned for 15 days in 2006. He lost control of his bike while riding it, injuring two people. According to reports, the actor served a 15-day prison sentence and also paid a penalty.
