Croatia defeated Morocco 2-1 in the World Cup third-place playoff on Saturday to finish in the top three for the second year in a row. This is the third time where Croatia were placed third in the World Cup tournament as Croatia were also third in the previous year where they won against Netherlands by 2-1 and firstly in 1998.
Croatia who were positioned third won the prize money of $27 million (nearly 225 crores). Whereas Morocco who lost to Croatia and were placed fourth in the tournament, have won the prize money of $25 million (nearly 205 crores).
